Brandon Phelps (B.S.Ed. ‘18) was named to the 2018 Summit League Baseball Academic All-League Team on June 13. Phelps led the league in complete games, ranked fourth in wins and seventh in strikeouts. To earn the honor, student-athletes must have a GPA of at least 3.30, completed at least one full academic year at the current institution, and, in baseball, taken part in 20% of their team’s total competitions.
Suining Ding, professor of interior design, presented on three topics at the 49th EDRA (Environmental Design Research Association) Conference in Oklahoma City June 6–9. Presentations included: A Critical Review of The Evolution of Healthcare Architecture and Evidence-based Design; Searching for Synergy: How Research can Enhance and Inform Design When Research Meets Design in Practice; and A Redefined Cyclical Design Process for Healthcare Architecture: Research Informed Design and Research Confirmed Design.
